however. By the time the pear was ripe, the dish of pecans (I'm allergic to walnuts) sat on the counter for 2 days, there wasn't much left. Too good.

 
Marg, glad you liked it...it's become a favorite and i have to confess

that the nuts, walnuts or pecans, don't last long around here either. In fact, I've started doubling the the amount called for, telling myself it's better to snack on them than chocolate or chips or stuff. Hahahahah.
