Making jam for the 1st time this year. Anyone got a good strawberry jam recipe?

This looks interesting.

I wonder if the syrup jells. If I can find decent strawberries I will try this - I love the idea of jam that is just strawberries.

 
I just made a batch of strawberry jam.

After I filled two pint jars with it, I added some blueberries, blackberries and some more sliced strawberries. I cooked it for awhile and then put that in jars. I will be curious to see how it is after it cools. The fruit will be a little more fresh-like than normal jams; hopefully. I am going to keep those refrigerated.
I didn't use the butter since I was not going to waterbath them.

 
Traca, are your friends doing the canning across america this year? I might have the name wrong.

 
Yep! I helped get it off the ground, but moved on to other projects. Now I'm finally in a position

to do less PR...and more doing. smileys/smile.gif

 
Cathy, do you ever use less sugar? 4 cups sugar to 2 cups crushed fruit seems like a lot of sugar.
