Marg CDN: Just getting back from talking about H1N1 risks

with my friend who is an epidemiologist. She said that yesterday at her hospital in Detroit, they had a scheduled meeting to discuss nationwide complications, now that so many injections have been given. The conclusion - there aren't any reported "side effects." Yes, there have been occurances - she mentioned one miscarriage from her meeting - but the incidence of complications have been what you would expect from the population at large, without adding in the vaccinations. She heard nothing at all about heart attacks.

I pressed her for anything out of the ordinary - there isn't anything reported at this point. Colleen

Marg, I saw this on CTV news last night . A batch of H1N1 vaccine has been recalled in Canada.

I think you're in Ontario? It looks like this particular batch of vaccine was not administered to anyone in that province, so the article is probably not pertinent to your situation.

My thoughts continue to be with you in this very sad time. Take care...

my friend's doctor hasn't even had one yet, nor the EMT's....
