Great! Maestro said it's the best he's had in years!! Mom delivered them at 6:45am, still
warm, although I doubt the luncheon served it that way. It's good either way.
The coordinator was bummed...she ended up with a mere sliver as the guests took every last piece.
One of Mom's store vendors told her that he has a Austrian customer who buys a strip every week. Says it's the only time he's had strudel that tastes like the kind back home.
I've already told Richard this little story: Jack Lambert, a former Pittsburgh Steeler from the Iron Curtain days has a home in Sewickley where Mom has a vendor. Jack picked up a still-warm strudel one day, ate the entire strip in his CAR on the way home, turned around, went back to the store and bought more!
