I was going to wait till tomorrow, after Don edit's about half of the pictures but..... I've waited for 6 mos to show you all my kitchen and I just can't wait til tomorrow!
when we bought the house, the kitchen was painted Pepto-bismal pink, dusty pink formica counters, all white appliances and sink and no island. I hated that kitchen, big time!
first we painted and replaced the sink and applicances. then I found Italian porcelean tiles, 18 x 18" that look like stone. Don did all the tile work. the island is a John Boo's hard rock maple piece and I can seat 6 - 7 around it. I should have the cabinet doors replaced in a few months with a simple, hardwood door and we'll be putting in a hardwood floor
in the summer.
the kitchen is now warm and welcoming and the reason I've got back to cooking again smileys/smile.gif
annnd, the reason there are so many pics of me right now is cause I usually won't let Don photograph me cause he's a perfectionist and wants to pose me, which annoys the crap outa me and I usually walk away. I convinced him to use the speed shutter and let me play with the camera and we had a blast last night!
