Richard, I can so relate! We've have 2 swallow nests on our porch

for the last 10 years and those little birds bring such joy when they come back in the spring to nest. Each year they come, raise two nestings of babies then off they go again.

Everyone in the neighborhood has to either park their cars inside or they cover their mirrors. Once everyone is paired up for the season there is no more problem.
