My only Christmas baking success, to date: Gingerbread Biscotti

Gosh, my response sounds wrong to me. The recipe is from Gourmet, the extra notes are mine and

I'm sure Reba was sharing the recipe from Gail's.

It is a very nice biscotti...stays tender for quite a while if you don't bake it crisp/crisp.

Good fix for those who like candied ginger.

THAT is a wonderful idea, AMG! I'm going to do that so I can bake some up fresh

for my SIL! Thanks so much - I don't think I would have thought of doing that. That will help a lot.

I understood what you meant, Marilyn. I have a can of candied ginger that needs to be used...

so I am going to do these up next week. Thank you! I'm done for a couple of days - other things going no so my kitchen will get a rest. Until Saturday, at least.

Do you think it would be 'tacky' .....

to give my SIL a couple of logs to keep in their freezer? (I'll give him finished ones, too) I really think he'd love having them ready to finish off and eat fresh!

By George, I think I'll do it! Tacky or not. ha

I'm definitely making these, KC. Thanks. You've posted some good

recipes. I think my SIL would love these. smileys/smile.gif Yum

Thanks to you, too, AGM

Hi Marilyn. This recipes was posted 6 times at Gail's.

I thought I picked up the earliest post, but maybe not. Either way, it's a great recipe. I probably made it because so many people posted it. Sorry if I missed your name on the comments, cuz your comments are always helpful and definitely interesting.

people love it when I gift them cookie rolls to slice and bake. this is a great idea for biscotti.

No KC...it was me that was goofy here. I was just surprised to read my own words..I KNOW that

recipe is all over the place, it's that good.

I'd delete my post if I could.

Hehe..that's how I feel about it, too. Maybe some people wouldn't q

appreciate having them to finish off but I know Michael will. He's quite the cook but doesn't bake and he loves goodies to go with all the Kona and Blue Mountain coffee they bring home from trips. I'm so excited to see his face when he realizes I've made him cookies that he can have fresh, anytime! smileys/smile.gif

Thanks again for the wonderful idea, AMG! smileys/smile.gif

Made these today and they are GREAT!!! Of course (((Meryl))) I just had to

paint the flat side with chocolate... if only to realign time and matter after you *GASP* reduced the chocolate in your recipe smileys/smile.gif
