Well excuse me for being "rude" and no, I am not a drive by. I really didn't think it would help, but couldn't hurt. I've followed the swap for years, fyi. I remember posting about the firing of Arthur Schwartz and a few people appreciated that. I'm sorry if you don't follow his show, but since it is food related...duh....I see you all talking about xmas movies, but I guess that is fine?????

 
Hello Deb. We always welcome newcomers, but most say "Hello" or introduce themselves. Others...

join just long enough to post links to other sites or to make announcements. This is prohibited in the user agreement. Unfortunately, your first post looked to most of us like one of the latter category.

As Sandy said, please prove us wrong. You're more than welcome to join in the discussions, share recipes and ask questions.

There is a long-standing group of friends here, and sometimes we get very chatty and veer off topic. We always get back to food, though.

 
So whatever happened with Mike Colameco? We used to get him only on weekends, but

I really used to enjoy his show. I haven't heard him in months though.

 
Eloquently said Joe and I concur. DEB, in my honest opinion,

I just think that you should politely knock on our door and introduce yourself before entering as you would any household. You sort of sounded like a door-to-door salesperson to plug the radio host vs a friendly visitor who introduces themselves like a new neighbor.

Why don't you introduce yourself to us? We'd love to hear who you are.

 
I have to side with Deb on this one. I remember reading the

post and the posts from Sandy and Michael, and thinking that it was a little harsh. She didn't link any commercial sites to it, as I recall, it was just someone voicing their opinion. Granted I had no idea who she was talking about, but then again, I usually don't. In any case, Deb, you are most welcome here, and we all annoy each other once in awhile, or at least I do, so welcome to the family!
P.S. After reading Michael's last post, I am not aware of any nasty P.M.s, but my opinion still stands.

 
Dawn, I must say that Michael and I both received the same PM's that were simply repeated

here at DEB's post #13299. Since it was the exact same PM as the post, I thought I would respond to same in public to DEB. I could have ignored her PM & post but I chose not to.

I'm of the old British school of being polite and have been raised with those teachings of good manners even though I'm American and was born in Bristol, PA.

Dawn, I could have kept my mouth shut about DEB's initial post, but found it to sound very commercial and yes, I wanted to make a statement to those who are not sincere, have no reason to be here. Uh oh, I sound like OJ's defense attorney now...

 
Dawn, you're no where near what I was innocently referring to...

Me: "I wanted to make a statement to those who are not sincere, have no reason to be here." This line above is where it's supposed to be a spoof on OJ's defense attorney, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit!"

Just poetry Dawn, and nothing racial whatsoever. Just a poetic snippet of history...

Uh oh, I sound like OJ's defense attorney now... (that's what I meant by that).
