Normally I’d bake tomorrow but forgot eye appt, which will take most of day. Yuge monkey wrench in timeline to be mailed for Xmas arrival. 🫨😩 I need to start baking them now. No rest for the wicked, lol.

Got the sugar cookies cut out and baked along with the anise, so I can icing tomorrow am can set hard before packing.

I couldn’t ice anything this morning as the house was too cold (I turn the heat off at night). It’s 9:15 pm and I just finished icing the sugar cookies and have the anise to ice before bed, then tomorrow is bake day for the rest. And candy if it’s not too humid. I prefer a glaze w water or milk w powdered sugar vs Royal icing, so I’m hoping this sets hard enough for packing to ship on Friday. (I got a late start because I had to wait till the dilation of my eyes went back to normal first.) Every year I say I’m not doing this last minute and every year I’m doing this at the last minute. 🤪

10:18 pm, cookies iced and decorated!

I had several other cookies I wanted to make, but time got away and I had to cut back.
