My Weekend Six

I decided to wait for now and perhaps next month I can get it.

Got to play with it today, so gorgeous...!!! Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement!

Throwing a wet blanket on this... $150 "off"? I'd say wait until you have a

job again. Just IMHO... deals come and go and will probably come again soon, maybe even a better one. Sorry (

I love my under-$100 Kodak EasyShare. And that was 3 yrs ago - I that a much better resolution camera is under $80 now.

Ooh, hope DH feels better soon. What happened to him? Suggestion: a large book of Sudoku puzzles!

That'll keep him sitting still for a while ;o)

I'm sorry the shortbreads didn't work for you. I think I recommended them.it worked for me last year

quite well, but I only made 1/2 batch with the Splenda, and I might have worked a bit more flour into the dough,or a bit of water to make it more workable. Can't really remember.

Eva, your name came up on Saturday as I had friends over for dinner. they are all Swedes from

Minnesota or Canada and we were talking about the wild cranberries we have here in Alaska---really lingonberries we think. I told them about your Thanksgiving dinner and how I mentioned to you that if you had a jar of lingonberries you would have something very close to our cranberries. We also talked about the Salmonberries we would pick out in Western Alaska near Nome. They are cloudberries in your neck of the woods.

Ang, is there an IKEA near you in AK? They have some wonderful swedish meatballs and lingonberry

I had a friend that was here for a few years on assignment from Sweden/Denmark, she would always go to IKEA to get her "fix" of meatballs, DAK, lingonberries, etc....She said it was much better than the "gourmet" stores.....

AngAk, we do have cloudberries here (here as in up in the mountains).

We mixt cloudberries with whipped cream (cream and sugar that has been whipped) and we eat them with waffel-like cookies. It makes a great dessert.
