Need advice on gelatin

I made cranberry Jello, placed it in the refrigerator to partially set so that I could eventually blend in shredded carrots & other stuff and then got interrupted and forgot about it. So it's now set. Is there anyway I can get it back to that partially set mode so I can fold in some things, and then have it firm up again? Thanks!

 
I believe you can melt it again. maybe by sitting it in hot water and stirring

once it starts to loosen up. You won't have to get it very hot because the gelatin is already dissolved.

You can then stir it over ice water to help cool it down quickly before adding the other ingredients.
