Need Burger Bar Idea

Actually, I've told people to take a bite before topping with a condiment so

that they could taste the burger. Me, on the other hand, am bad and prefer only mayo spread on the bun halves...

That lamb burger sounds good but without the raspberry sauce. Hmmmm...

Veal & Mushroom Burgers Posted: Feb 2, 2004 12:53 PM

1 lb. ground veal 1 cup sliced mushrooms (white mushrooms stems removed) and fill to top of cup Preheat 1 tbs. butter on med.-high heat & cook mushrooms until not quite done. Drain on paper towel & chop finely and set aside. Reserve pan. Dry ingredients: (add gradually while mixing thoroughly with veal) = tsp. kosher salt = rounded tsp. Marjoram < tsp. coarse ground pepper Then add: = tsp. Worcester sauce < tsp. Grey Poupon Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Add mushrooms and mix thoroughly. Form into approx. (5)

DawnNYS, that has been THE most popular -and used - salad dressing here for years!

I am talking about the last two decades!!!

I don't like it much - I'm more into vinaigrettes - but I like it on hamburgers like you do.

It's not a local thing were you live - it's been a national trend here since the last eighties. I'd say almost a culinary night mare. In many diners that's the only salad dressing they'll offer. Ugh!

tell you more about the 1000 Islands, unless you already know it! Really? The salad dressing name and story made it all the way to Norway? ;o)
