Need corkscrew recommendations-the metal tip just broke off my winged one. What a cheap piece of%^ @

We have a faux rabbit that has been good for more than 10 years.

Bought it at Kitchen, Etc long ago, and paid about $20 for it.
It's pulled many a cork and has shown no sign of giving up.

We also have a bartenders key and one like Dawn's and one that I got maybe 20 years ago that has 2 flat blades that slide down either side of the cork, then you twist and pull to remove the cork. It's a good travel one cause it takes up no space in a bag.

I'm all about having the proper tools for opening wine or beer containers while on the road!

I actually like the hinged ones, but I agree this is the best type, with or without it.

I've had a non-hinged one for years, with a brand name KRONA, which has never failed. It is all steel, and I remember it cost $14. Here is one on ebay. There are really cheap ones around that will break so easily they might as well say "disposable."

I lost my beloved one from my waiter days, which was also indestructible--don't know the brand but it was green enamel and we had many wonderful years together.
