Need opinions about frozen food storage containers.

I'd like to be more efficient about storing meals in our chest freezer. Looking for recommendations regarding your favorite food storage containers for the freezer.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

If you live near an Ikea...

they used to carry some opaque white containers with light-blue lids that were really sturdy and did very well for freezing. I'm not sure if they still have those, but their opaque white containers with the red lids, which were the next price point up, are also great. I've found that the ones they sell in a 30-piece group (currently clear plastic with green lids) aren't as good as the ones you buy individually, though. All of these have withstood multiple rounds in the dishwasher very well, too.

I buy these stackable CAMBRO containers at Smart&Final. Both the 2- and 4-quart size take the same

lid and stack together. The square shape maximizes freezer and refrigerator space. The measurments on the side are convenient. My only complaint might be that they are a little shy of the capacity they claim--if you really put 2 quarts in a 2-quart container you wouldn't be able to put the lid on.

I second these. I love mine and they

are almost indestructible. I have had mine for years. I don't think I would like the clear ones, too brittle..

Late, but here's my input: I use Tupperware.

Do you have them in the US?
My grandmother used Tupperware and so does my mom and I have used some of my boxes for 20 years and they still work. They might cost a little bit more than other containers but again, 20 years of use is a lot.
