Need your ideas. I found the best wedding gift. A picnic set that is a canvas backpack that folds

Baskets are always appreciated. I am sure they will love it. Some ideas...

I gave a picnic basket as a wedding gift once, too, and I am trying to remember what we included. The pate and crackers are a nice idea.

Maybe a little book on bird watching (or whatever other nature hobby they might like)?

You can find many other little vaccuum-sealed gourmet foods in a lot of little shops and in larger grocery stores: camembert or gouda cheese maybe?

Obvious, but - a bottle of wine? Pate spreader knife? Salt and pepper shakers? Tin or package of spicy nuts? Fancy chocolates in a tin (Whitman's in about as fancy as I get, but...)? Maybe Harry & DAvid's chocolate covered bing cherries?

Gourmet olives (had some recently with a slice of orange in there ---- good!), vaccuum-packed sausage, breadsticks, gourmet mustard, pretzels, chutney, jam, carmelcorn, jar of pesto?

Ooooh, now I'm getting the urge to put together another gift basket! lol

KarenNoCA...There is a shop in Half Moon Bay

Called Quail run that has had these for years. It's a very cute shop located on Main Street. They have lots of other fun and unique items.

So, this is what I packed:

Walker's shortbread, Kavli multi grain crackers, Nutella, smoked oysters(doesn't sound good with nutella, does it?), Ferrero Rochere chocolates--1 in each wine glass, 1 bottle German Reissling and 1 bottle Boujolais both wrapped in tea towels with wine motif, fruit leather, 4 juice boxes, nice trail mix, a wine pourer/cap, a small ice pack, travel wipes, disposable camera, floppy flat frisby and velcro ball mitts w/ball. I didn't pack anything with glass, so no olives etc, but it's just some fillers. I hope they use it for a much more elegant picnic

AngAk..how clever...wouldn't mind a gift like that...I am hopeless at thnking up just the right gift
