NFR HELP! Does anyone have a Nextar digital photo frame? I have the 3.5"

and I can't figure out how to get the darn thing to run.

3 hours of life GONE already. I spent an hour trying to find out how to transfer the photos...so I think they're finally on the internal memory of the frame. At least I did the Copy ALL and it kept processing. I confirmed first that all the photos were under 32M worth of memory size, so that should be okay.

But now I can't get it to show me any photos. At all. I haven't seen a photo slide show or even a darn photo.

The online manual is the same as the one in front of me. Apparently you just press Button A to start the whole thing. Nothing happens.

The website FAQ (link) says you may need to reformat your frame, but then they neglect to say HOW!

I hate these kind of days.

PS: Larry is locked out of the house until I figure this out so I would be most appreciative if anyone can tell me how to run the photos once they're on the darn thing.

PPS: Sour Dough Starter is fermenting nicely. But I wasn't planning on being tied down to this digital Nazi all day.

I have a Pendigital frame, and it's a full-size one. But I can't imagine it would be

much different. If all else fails, you can try to call the customer service at 1-888-849-0846. They should be open on Christmas Eve day, with all the electronic gift-giving going on this time of year.

I've always been afraid of that "reformat" option, afraid that I will wipe everything out on the hard drive of the frame. But if it's like mine, I think it's under the first screen after the mode-operation page - keep backing out of the display mode until you get to the very first screen with all the set-up and display options... the "reformat" option should be in that menu.

Are you sure each picture isn't too large? Maybe compress them or make them smaller in MS Photo Editor (free, online) and try that if you can't reformat it.

Once the pictures are in there (either on the hard-drive of the frame, or via your flashdrive), just go to the second screen, and click play, or if that doesn't show up, click "start slide show". I think the option of how fast, what order (random or in-order) is on that first page, above, too.

And if you want to display pictures from the flashdrive instead of the hard drive, it should give you that option at the mode-operation page too. It will be a screen that says "music", "photos", "videos", etc.

Good luck - and merry, merry, to you and Larry.

Good info, Dawn....

I tried to call customer service, but they won't process the call until you've registered the product and get a customer ID...which I didn't get until TODAY (Wednesday).

I get nothing as far as a slideshow and the button setup is not intuitive at all.

I'll try to compress the photos...haven't done that before, so it should be interesting. Thanks for the link.

I did get your card with the thank you (you're most welcome!).

Wish me luck...I'm going back in again.
