Randi, my deepest sympathies, my heart goes out to you, have you thought to sue the owners in Civil
Court? That would be very much worth talking to a lawyer because poor Jesse would be alive if not for their dogs ferocious acts too it was animal cruelty and the dog's owner can be cited for cruelty to animals AND for owning a known dangerous dog. That is why it is very possible to sue Civilly.
We brought our neighbor who live behind us to court because their dog barked literally all day long, we were able to have the owner be on probation for 2 years, they also had to either keep the dog in or give it away, they gave it away to a neighbor, we brought them back to court and the dog was taken from the owners and they are not allowed to own a dog for 5 yrs, because it is considered animal cruelty to put a dog outside and let the dog bark all day long.
I am so truly sadden by your loss and I sincerely hope that you have all your family and friends near by to comfort you at this sorrowful time, my heart really goes out to you.
