NFRC: Finally got DH to agree to a new floor in the kitchen. Now I have to decide what I want.

Cyn, I just put in pine wood floors in all my rooms exept wet rooms

and I love them.

We oiled the wood and it has now got a beautiful golden colour.
I highly recommend it.

Cyn, I and my boy friend bought a 60 year old house

that had pine wood floors in most rooms.
We added the same floors in all rooms when we renovated the house, and I haven't regretted it for a second.
The old floors that were there are beautiful!

Pine wood is very soft so if you drop a sharp object on it, you can get a scar. This scar is usually fixed by letting some hot water sit on it for a few minutes. The wood swells back and the floor will be as good as new.
