nfrc...I have been given a beautiful off-white linen dress that looks like it has rust spots all

over it. Should I soak it in a mild bleach solution. Or should I soak it in lemon juice and lay out in the sun. The spots are too numerous to consider doing anything by hand. Those spots are all over the dress.

Bleach sets rust stains, so definitely not that. Here is an interesting thread

regarding rust stains on clothes - they say use something with oxalic acid in it. Zud is one product that contains it.

I'd try the lemon juice first.

Also if it is off white the bleach may discolor it. The advice in the link sounds good. Thx. NT

What about Oxy-clean? Can you do a test on, say, an inseam?
