NFRC...I wondered if I could get some ideas on something but

Marg is onto an idea here. How about an old square-paned window frame? Wood for stability

and then the 4 to 6 glass panes wouldn't need to be a single large piece (much, much cheaper). Yet you would still have light and reflection.

Hmmm, I like that idea! I can really picture it and it would bring

the old with the sleek/modern look of glass. I wonder how I could find salvaged pieces. I'll do a search for my area. Thanks for making me see it.

Deland has an "architectual salvage" business. Old doors, windows, stained glass, etc.

Try using that as a search parameter.

Thank you Marilyn, that was very helpful and sent me in a

great direction. I don't know if I'll be able to find anything down here but Deland sure is a treasure trove!

I have a glass table but the base got broken during our remodel. Does anyone have an idea where I

can find a glass table base? I have looked all over the internet and haven't found one. I'm just about thinking I'll have to check with an interior designer to find one for me.

Any thoughts??????

Thanks, Marsha

Hi Marsha. Can you find an image online of what your table looked like "before"

That way it will be clearer how the glass was supported.

Marsha, most of the companies that make or import tables will sell them with or without glass. The

glass is usually by spec of the buyer and can be any range of choices so it usually isn`t imperative that it is included. And the glass is so heavy that the imported tables come just as bases. I don`t know the design areas in the Tampa region, but some like Dania in Ft. Lauderdale or the big one in Dallas, have loads of choices available. The internet should help you to contact them.

If you google `table base for glass top`, there are some very inexpensive alternatives, even used ones on eBay.

You are a blessing. The base for my table IS in the pictures! I'll have to check the price. That

said, I want to see what other options I MIGHT have for my table rather than the base that came with it.

HOW did you get all those pictures on one page on google??? Wow, Marilyn, you are a blessed friend! Thank you for your help!

Marg, you are a blessing in sharing this information!!! I will check with them with great

anticipation. Thank you, Marg!!! Give yourself a hug for me! smileys/smile.gif

It's simple, M. Just open Google, put in your search paramets and select IMAGE at the top

menu, right above the word GOOGLE. That way it just pulls images rather than websites or advertisements.
