Oh Cyn - I sympathize with you. I turned 45 this year - started playing golf/tennis everyday
and must have hurt my back thru the years(I fell on ice a few years ago) but it didn't bother me until too much exercise. I woke up one day, felt weird, back hurt, couldn't move my legs, couldn't breathe, fainted, went to ER - found out I had a HUGE herniated disk and another one bulging and torn. At that point, even swimming hurt, so I tried the injections, pills, rest, therapy, rest, injections, minimally invasive procedure. All along I felt great, but when I started back to my regular routine - bam. So, I bit the bullet and so far I'm really glad I did. I have a brace too for now = but I can't wait to get back out and play some golf and tennis and cook. I'm walking 6 miles a day now trying to keep my core strong (key to weak backs).
Sorry for the rant - stay medicated for the pain, it does help! And, be careful on the ice!
Stay healthy.
Sue
