NFRC: What next? I slipped on the ice. Didn't fall- just did one of those embarrassing

Oh My!! I have heard about the nasty weather you are getting in upstate NY...So sorry! Hope you

are up and about soon! Your area is getting lots of attention on the NY news stations today. I have been thinking about you! Looks like a snow storm is heading your way!

Best.

Thanks Marilyn & AngAk - No BLT's for me (bending, lifting, twisting), but I'm anxious to get back

in the kitchen. I don't miss emptying the dishwasher, but I did manage to get a new washer and dryer out of the situation. The one on the pedestal so you don't have to bend over! And, my DH got me a long pole for picking up dropped laundry up off the floor. It has come in handy!
Now, I could go for a REAL BLT!

Yup- and DH is heading out of thown in the morning. I already told them at pt that I wouldn't be

there tomorrow. Just gonna hunker down and wait for spring!

I can't imagine having back surgery. You must have been in a great deal of pain to even consider it.

I came home from therapy this morning and I was in so much pain I thought it was a very good thing that I had no guns in the house. I hit the narcotics instead!

Oh Cyn - I sympathize with you. I turned 45 this year - started playing golf/tennis everyday

and must have hurt my back thru the years(I fell on ice a few years ago) but it didn't bother me until too much exercise. I woke up one day, felt weird, back hurt, couldn't move my legs, couldn't breathe, fainted, went to ER - found out I had a HUGE herniated disk and another one bulging and torn. At that point, even swimming hurt, so I tried the injections, pills, rest, therapy, rest, injections, minimally invasive procedure. All along I felt great, but when I started back to my regular routine - bam. So, I bit the bullet and so far I'm really glad I did. I have a brace too for now = but I can't wait to get back out and play some golf and tennis and cook. I'm walking 6 miles a day now trying to keep my core strong (key to weak backs).
Sorry for the rant - stay medicated for the pain, it does help! And, be careful on the ice!
Stay healthy.
Sue
