Nice little 6.5 earthquake here in Northern California just 1 hour ago..

I had an earthquake kit for years, in the shed. Once we got our

motorhome it became our earthquake kit on wheels (heehee). It took many, many, MANY, hours of planning, shopping, assembling of that shed earthquake kit...I was very thorough in my prep. It actually took me over a month to shop for everything (hardware stores, grocery, pharmacy, etc). Also keep in mind that you must annually check the kit and rotate in new canned food, water, and other items to keep them fresh. It was a pain to accomplish but gave me peace of mind to have the kit on hand, just in case.

There are some great earthquake kit lists on the internet...you can decide how detailed and extensive you want to go, depending on the amount of storage space you have.

as I post this very moment, the clock on my computer says 7:02pm

and the posting date at the end of the subject line says 9:06pm!

Says 10:06 here, which makes no sense to me at this late hour, but

I think it must have something to do with the various time zones. However, you are 3 hours from me... that's the confusing part )

YOu can adjust your displayed time by going in to your Account at the top of the page

Click on Account, then Account Settings, and you can offset you local time from the server time, so it will display the posts with your local time stamp.

I just did mine as well, so thanks from me too! It seems to have changed the time on my post >>

retro-actively as well, hmmm.
