Not feeling inspired.. What's the first recipe that comes to your mind when I say "Chicken Thighs"

Too late, but I put them (or mixed chicken parts) in a snug baking dish, sprinkle generously

with salt, pepper, paprika and thyme, dot with butter, slide unpeeled garlic cloves between the pieces, and bake, basting several times.

It's our house chicken, and it's particularly good with thighs.

"Joe's House Chicken" - sounds like an $18 menu entree at Joe's Restaurant in Venice smileys/smile.gif

this motivated me to make my Mom's house chicken which is German style baked with Anise.

Fred Meyer(Kroger) has "party" pak chicken legs/thighs/parts for .99/lb this week, so I bought up a bunch and baked half a package of the legs with a light coat of olive oil and lemon, sprinkle of garlic salt and Montreal Steak and Anise seed. so good and the smell just transported me back to my childhood home kitchen. I thought it was terribly plain back then, but it sure was finger lickin' good last night. and today.

hmmm. MOntreal Steak Spice on chicken. I've been finding it works with so many meats but have not

tried it on chicken. Thanks for the idea Ang.

yes, fish too. and spagetti sauce. I got that idea from Rachel Ray, she uses it on everything and

now I do as well. It's really nothing fancy that wouldn't go well with everything----if you like black pepper that is. I buy the big Costco size container of it and then put it in a smaller shaker that I keep right by the stove.
