As Christmas approaches I always think of my Grandparents. I was with them one Christmas Eve and my (Italian) uncle brought out a bottle of Sambuca. He poured a glass then placed a pine nut on top of the liquid and lit it on fire. For a young guy this was fascinating. After a while he placed his hand over the glass to put out the flame and took out the pine nut. He fanned it out between his fingers sort of like a tiny deck of cards. I believe he said it was called "angel hands" or "hand of God" I wonder if anyone has heard of this before?
