Odd coming from me, but I'm going to Epcot for the first time in 25 years. Any suggestions?

I don't remember the name but it's like you are sitting outside

eating at night. When you look up it's a star lit sky. I loved it.

Orchid, that is no longer a restaurant. The new one is across the walkway on the water.

It is called La Hacienda de San Angel. The old restaurant in the building with the ride was called San Angel Inn Restaurante.

Epcot reservation

Marilyn, Please call WDW reservations, ask to talk to a manager and complain about the change yesterday to the non-Disney Dolphin/Swan. See if they will credit the extra charges for parking, WIFI and the resort fee. Or, if you're going to have to spend an extra $30-$50/day, if they will find you something at one of the Epcot "Disney" resorts in the same price range. This is another example where they misinformed you. Colleen

You are going to enjoy this!

The location is tops. The quick boat ride from the Dolphin to the International Gateway at Epcot is going to make your adventure so very much better - aside from cutting close to 2 miles of walking off of your Epcot roundtrip! Colleen

You are just a fountain of information, Colleen. I called the quasi-Disney hotel

and Reservation Specialist Raphael said: "umm, yes, actually, we are not a Disney property, even though our name is Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel and we are on Disney property."

Huh?

So, yes, I will be charged $15 parking and $16 for WiFi, pool services, etc....BUT, I'll get two free bottles of water!

I'm happy with the location (re: boats) and the idea of sitting out on the balcony watching the fireworks, so I'm going to bite the bullet on this one. It was a last minute decision and this is the (extra) price I'll pay for not doing sufficient research. We are getting the parks for ~$30 a day (versus $80), the room is 35% off, and the weather is not miserably hot so I'm okay with a bump in the parking lot.

BUT I AM SITTING DOWN WITH YOU BEFORE WE USE THE OTHER TWO PARK DAYS (before June 7).

We would go for a day when we were in Tampa then Bradenton but now

we would need to stay overnight from Naples. This is excellent information especially since parking is now $14 a day. Then you have to wait for a tram or walk to the gate.

Thanks, Colleen.

I have stayed at Dolphin/Swan, can't remember which now, but lovely. huge properties but great spot

could we put this thread in "Great Threads"? so much good info. would love it if others added more
