Okay, only 2 days left... what are you making for Superbowl-watching?

You can beat the heck out of it until you add flour, then go easy...it's cookies not bread dough smileys/smile.gif

The Crack Bread was literally gone in under 10 minutes. One guest took one bite and simply said,

"Oh my God."

After that it was like vultures.

So happy to hear it! Unfortunately, did not make it. Ran out of time. Any tips on type of bread

Did you make it as the recipe says, or did you cook up your own bacon? I really want to make this....

Erin, I know Super Bowl parties have to be the most boring

things I've ever attended.

We normally go out to the theatre on that Sunday and have Thai afterwards, but we changed our plans and made low-carb pizza and I spent the afternoon and evening working on my trip book for last fall's vacation. I have it nearly completed, just need to add somemore captions and edit. This one is going to be a whopping 100 pager (we took 6000 pictures between the two of us)! LOL

the party I went to had lots of young(teens/twenties)folk and ALL were glued to their phones

hardly watched the game at all, or talked to anyone else. I looked around the room and it made me so sad. this seems to be how most gatherings are these days. just so sad to me.

Agreed...

Richard, your afternoon sounds blissfully low-key.

Even Jakub slugged me when I asked, "Oh, was New York playing?" as our street erupted in a roar in the last five minutes. (He wasn't following it, but checked it online in the last five minutes so as to be conversant at work the next day, I guess.)

It's a good day to take in a museum or movie!

(Not intending to rain on anyone's parade in this big thread--I just have zero interest in football.) smileys/wink.gif

I have to confiscate my brother's phone when we get together.

I don't care if he's a social-media guru; it's RUDE to post/Tweet/Foursquare/Pin(terest)/Facebook when someone's taken the time to meet you, face to face!

I was surprised how many adults were watching tweets (?) during the game. I do not follow the game

but saw alot of adults glued to their cells, watching what jimmy fallon was saying, etc..... They would see a good commercial, and the next thing you know they were "following" them on twitter / facebook.

Why would I care that Bill Mauer thought that Madonna's side kick looked like he hurt him/herself during the 1/2 time routine... I don't get it. (I think that was the one I read from a friend.... meanwhile, his wife was sitting next to him, just looking to converse).... Did I mention that I just do not get it!!

I used a round loaf of sourdough and used the Costco crumbled bacon

just to save time. I liteally cannot express to you how fast this was eaten. There was an actual hand slap when someone went for the same piece as someone else. I've never seen anything like it.

Goat? Are you playing Farmville? Please don't keep interrupting while I;'m watching the phone.
