Old And Cranky issue for the day. I'm annoyed by the offer of a "Holiday Gift For You" from King...

Ebay now takes a cut of the shipping charges from sellers (9%)

I don't see how they can get away with that. I use to charge actual shipping as a seller. Some people do charge for handling (cost of boxes/gas to PO/etc) but I didn't. Now if I want to get my actual shipping costs paid for I'd have to charge the buyer 9% more to get back what ebay dings me on S&H. I stopped selling on ebay after they started that. It seems like they no longer want the mom and pop sellers.

Oh, good find! smileys/smile.gif

Incidentally, it's not exactly Midtown, but there's a greenmarket right near Lincoln Center--Tucker Square (Broadway and 66th). I haven't been by yet (since there's one right on my corner--much cheaper than Whole Paycheck or any of the supermarkets near us, YAY), but maybe it's of use if you have a place with a kitchen and are shuttling back and forth to/from LC. smileys/smile.gif Whee! Come on, May!

Thanks for the info

I know the place very well (not the market, just the real estate). I will certainly check it out to add some fun items to breakfast. I'm supplied with the usual breakfast stuff in the fridge: eggs, bread, butter, juice, muffins, tea, coffee, milk, etc. But it will be nice to add organic cream and seasonal veggies/fruits. I don't plan to do much cooking as I'll be entirely contented to graze my way along in wonderful Manhattan eateries for the week.

That's what I do now that I'm on the mainland

I'm a couple of blocks away from the border. it closer to get gas than driving down the hill into town in Canada, and cheaper too. I do tons of online shopping and have it sent to the US. Magazine subscriptions are much cheaper as well.
