I have been making these for several years and they are my most requested by relatives. You MUST try them! They are simply delicious and the dough is a dream to work with. For the icing recipe I thin it a bit and dip the cookies and then put them on a rack and sprinkle with colored sugars. The sugars melt a bit and make the most beautiful effect. I use "white" food coloring gel to make the icing bright white.
