I got a nice post card offering a free 1/4 cup jar of a choice of 4 spices when I visit. smileys/smile.gif

Coming from the 405, head south on Hawthorne. It is just south of Torrance Boulevard on the right - next to BevMo. It is in a shopping center kind of off the street and a bit hard to see if you are unfamiliar with the area.

 
Ya know, you are getting annoying! smileys/smile.gif First, you have all the Trader Joes you want, & now Penzey's.

For those of us who are both Trader Joes and Penzey's-deprived, it is painful to hear!!! (I'm happy for you, though - at least YOU have choices)!

 
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that will never happen. I've been begging them for years.

I was born and raised in Torrance and believe me, it has to distinguish itself somehow >>

It no longer has the biggest shopping mall in the world and it only has two Trader Joe's, so it needs a Penzey's!

 
What timing! I have to make a trip to Torrance next week!

I had planned to go to Trader Joes, Bath and Body, IKEA, gotta get a Krispy Kreme, and now, one more stop - PENZEYS!

Penzey's finally opened a store in Arizona yeh! But Trader Joes

seems to be really hesitant to expand. With the growth here Trader Joe's is not expanding with it. The nearest one is 30 minutes from my house depending on traffic it could be more.

 
Well, at least you HAVE a Trader Joe's. Since I left NY

7 1/2 years ago, (first to FL, then to NC), I haven't even SEEN a Trader Joes, and they seem completely uninterested in going anywhere south of Northern VA. Weep for me.

 
Weep for me too - they're never coming out to Hawaii!!! But...

I heard we're supposed to get a Whole Foods in a couple of years.

No Trader Joe's, no IKEA, no Bath & Body, no Penzeys. Plus we get charged extra if we ship outside of the contiguous 48. Hmmph!

My sympathies re: no Trader Joes, etc., but it's great you'll at least be getting a Whole Foods! ...

It's too bad about the shipping rates - that's so unfair.
Well... I can just see it now, you're going to go WILD when you get to Torrance next week! Think of me when you load up on all the great stuff at Trader Joes.

 
You're right - that's another must-do! Just-like-homemade burgers and fries!!!

I love those REAL fries, and yummy burgers, Unfortunately, no milk shakes for me - boo! Oh well, I'm sure I can enjoy them vicariously through my sister (yeah, RIGHT)

Need anything from Hawaii? Chocolate covered macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, Hawaiian vanilla? I'll be happy to bring them up....

 
After those wonderful malasadas that we had in Oahu, I find it

hard to imagine that Krispy Kreme is in the same category. BUT, "the grass is always greener"... ain't it the truth?????
