Potato recall....what next?

Giant Food and Stop & Shop have pulled 20 oz. bags of Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Simply Potatoes Homestyle Slices and Simply Potatoes Red Potato Wedges.

Yikes! This 'simply' shouldn't be happening!!!

Verrr..rry interestink! I did not receive a FDA recall notice in my email subscription with them!

- but it looks as if the distributor/manufacturer are taking responsibility immediately

by recalling the products before the FDA gets wind of it/publicizes it.

Thanks for posting! I purchased these a month or so ago, my mom wanted me to make a rec:

for a dinner party. I recall it had the pots, cream of shroom soup, etc. She sent me the rec, I purchased the ingredients, and the day of the party, started making it. I have never had "simply potatoes" before, but the smell was revolting. DH came in for coffee and was asking what the stench was....SO, I threw them out, and made a standby of roasted pots w/ garlic and sundried tomatoes...

Ironically enough, mom was a lil disappointed!! She had her list, and expected a certain dish!
