Such a pleasant surprise (read shock) that Natasha, a fellow foodie asked to interview me for her site. It was so fun! Hope you all get a chuckle too. She's interviewed some really stellar people, still surprised she asked me too. And really delighted!

Thus endeth the shameless self promotion.... And thank you.

Heather!! What an absolutely charming interview... I had to read every word... now I'm HUNGRY!

Well done! Did she e-mail you the questions? And you follow up with written answers?

I've been interviewing folks and the audio is fun but it's a laborious process of typing it, then editing. This format seems so clean, I'm wondering if she just e-mailed you the questions? smileys/smile.gif

Nice work Heather. Bikini & hashbrowns...sounds like s great story over cocktails!

Thank you all! You are so nice to read it. This was done all by email and private messages

so I got to express myself smileys/smile.gif. Natasha wrote the intro and used my bio. It was fun, and I am honored she picked me!

Traca, and all my Swap friends, thanks again for encouraging me to write publicly, without your coaching and supporti wouldn't have dared and I'm having a good time, making new friends and meeting some real characters and nice people. But you all here are my first and foremost dear friends and I feel that I have received much more from you all that I could ever repay. Lately I've been going through some serious challenges and have much to go through before it's over, and knowing you all are here and my friends really means so much.

Hugs.

What a thrill! Really fun questions. I feel the same way you do re: if all else fails, start with

cooking some onions.. Something will eventually hit me!

Great questions and answers too. I enjoyed it all. I too knit those socks but in black and red and

white yarn. The foot turned out to be too wide so I gave them to my brother. Still looking for a pattern with a slimmer foot for myself. Do you have a "goto" online site for patterns?

janet, have you visited Ravelry.com? large site for knitters etc. lots of free patterns and help

Can you tell me more about that site? I went there but didn't login. I have >>

recently renewed my interst in knitting but completing a pair of fingersless gloves. I had to modify the pattern to make it taper more to fit.

the site has tons of information and forums and groups and patterns etc.

I think you need to become a member, but it's just a login thing. I haven't gone in there much in the last year, but I have picked up my knitting again. When you go into patterns, you find the category, like Hats, and it brings up all kinds of patterns that members have submitted, and the "free" patterns are marked as such. lots of help and even videos. You might find local groups that meet in your area. Local knitting shops will have information on knitting groups that welcome beginners or knitters on all levels. I just make hats. but that's what I love to make. there is a fun group that exchanges socks for "mismatched socks". that sounds like fun. At our womens show there was a booths selling these homespunny mismatched socks for big bucks. really cute. HeatherSF is also a member.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm thinking I might like to make a hat now that Spring's almost here!

It is rainy today but we have almonds and wild plums blooming. And my front walk Daphne has been "heady" for weeks now.
