RECIPE: REC: Barefoot Contessa's Tzatziki

RECIPE:
I will usually place the meat on one skewer and the vegetables on another...

...and grill them side by side. I find it's easier to get both to the proper doneness that way.

Dawn, did you find this recipe? Did the marinade have wine? There is a book I don't have,

The Frugal Gourmet Cooks with Wine or something like that. You might check it.

I didn't find it Curious...

I am pretty sure they had the "Cooks With Wine" at my library branch. I will give it a look when I return my books. Thanks Curious!

You may be thinking of the Souvlaki recipe...

in The Frugal Gourmet Cooks Three Ancient Cuisines. The lamb is cubed and marinated overnight. On the opposite page is a recipe for gyros called "Ground Meat on Skewers" (pg. 283), that's also very good but different and not marinated overnight.

I don't think so. I marinated a leg of lamb. I remember because

I had to bone it and butterfly it, which I had never done before or since. I grilled the lamb on the bbq and we had it with pita bread. If I can't find it, I will give the Souvlaki a try. Thanks Amy.
