In Joy of Cooking they talk about boiling potatoes in resin, guess it was a thing to do back in ....

the old days, but they claim it makes the most delicious potatoes, but you don't eat the skin obviously. Wonder where you can find a barrel of resin to cook with?

I thik that cracker barrel roasted their potatoes in rosin. . . I think. (nt)
