Remember my friend who wrote the piece on Leite's Culinaria? She had an aneurism and went into

surgery yesterday. It's all so surreal. She was at my dinner party on Monday and I'm just stunned. It started with a terrible headache and a trip to the hospital. Luckily they caught it in time--9 hours in surgery and they expect her to be in ICU for 2 weeks, at least. She's not even 35 years old!

Life is short, people. Spread the good love amply and often. I, for one, am grateful for my FK family. Ya'll mean more to me than I can express....

Prayers for her speedy recovery, thanks for letting us know. Yes I agree, spread the good love amply

and often....great words to live by. Every day is a gift!!

Hugs, Traca!!

Every breath and every heartbeat is a gift from our Creator. Coming from...

...the brink of heart attack and stroke, I understand how fragile life is. I am so grateful for every day here.

Thank you all for your friendship and your camaraderie... not to mention your amazing talents.

Traca, I am holding good thoughts for you and for your good friend. This truly is a family.

I feel the same way.

I'm glad they caught this crisis early. Being young, she must stand a very good chance at a complete recovery.

Traca - thoughts are with you and your friend

Same thing happened to our good friend last summer, although he was 45 and golfing at the time. Symptons were the same - but he totally ignored them. But he's making excellent progress.

THoughts and prayers are with you both,

Debra

Ditto, Traca. Prayers for her complete recovery and also for you -

I know how hard it is when a dear friend is gravely ill.

We have a wonderful family here. smileys/smile.gif

Thanks all. Just heard that the 1st 10 days after surgery she may suffer a stroke, hence the

ICU. But before surgery, they asked what she did for a living (wine & food writer) and they were mindful about hopefully not affecting that taste/sensory aspect of her brain. (Not sure how that works but that's what I was told.)

Thanks for the well wishes...

HI Traca, wow I'm so sorry and I hope she's doing well. You hang in there and think positive

and keep your wonderful cheery outlook about life going. I hope her time in the ICU passes uneventfully and that she recovers.

(((hugs))))
