Remember my friend who wrote the piece on Leite's Culinaria? She had an aneurism and went into

Thanks everyone. Catherine's husband set up a Caring Bridge account so we can get

info much easier. If anyone you know is in the hospital, Caring Bridge is a great way to disseminate info (you can click to get e-mail updates.)

And just in case you're interested in the latest news...Here goes:

Today Catherine had a strawberry milkshake. We've been giving in to her cravings since the nurse told us that with her brain healing she is burning up about 5000 calories a day just by laying there!

Again, today brought news of more vasospasms. The spasms she had yesterday and the day before have become better but new ones have been detected. As I mentioned last night this is what the doctors anticipate and are medicating for. It seems on average that most serious vaso-spasms occur within 5-7 days of an aneurysm and we are in that time span now.

Catherine has been a little more sleepy but remains sharp enough to identify all her visitors and have brief and meaningful conversations. And slurping down some strawberry shake! She is experiencing a little confusion that is mostly just related to where she thinks she is, but again this is just a brief condition while she gets through the spasming period.

We're all remaining positive and hopeful that we can get through this week and get our Catherine back!

Thanks again for all the messages that I have been reading Catherine and she has been enjoying very very much.

I also, would like to thank my work, A&B Imports which has been organizing to have lunch and dinner delivered to Catherine's parents and I while we rotate our love to her bedside. Thanks for keeping the troops fed!

Until tomorrow, may we all send healing thoughts to Catherine!
