Me too! I'm in Central Park enjoying a...something from Butterfield's. Yesterday it almost

Hit 90 degrees!

See you soon! On my way back to room to pack up.

PS: Unfortunately, I have to leave by 1:00 to catch bus back to LGA. Appetizers must start with hugs!

Your NYC forays sound like such fun!

One of these times, I will hop a train and get there to join you.

Right??!!!! And one of these times I will hop a plane to join in. Can't wait for

photos and a report.

First pix of the Manhattan lunch

Sorry, facebook link to a photo. I will post a full set of pix when I find a spare minute.

(Can we upload photos here???)

What a wonderful lunch with wonderful friends!!!

And Marilyn bestowed bounteous gifts upon us: cake balls from Milk Bar, and her caramel and dyslexic chocolate sauces!

Unfortunately Barb came down with the plague this morning (I had it two weeks ago) and couldnt' join us smileys/frown.gif

I am so bummed I missed it! This spring bug hit me quite suddenly, literally in the middle of the

night! So sad and disappointed. I KNOW I missed a great time!

This was so much fun!

I got to meet MoNJ and Marilyn for the first time, and see Richard and Tim again! It was such a treat. smileys/smile.gif We had: Spicy Sesame Noodles, Broccoli with Spicy Garlic Sauce, Braised Fish Fillets with Sweet Vinegar Sauce, Crispy Lamb with Chili and Cumin, and Glazed Spareribs.

AND Marilyn brought treats and her famous sauces, which I promptly went home and sampled. Words fail me. They are ***sublime.*** Marilyn, please send your address so I can send a proper thank-you!

Mo and Marilyn (and Richard and Tim), thank you for trekking to Midtown for lunch!

Next year on West 39th Street! smileys/wink.gif

Ditto on the fun! And the food! And the hugs! So glad we did this and so happy Sandra knew this

restaurant. IT'S VERY GOOD! When 90% of the restaurant clientele is Asian you know you're on to something good.

MoNJ and I hit it right off commiserating over big corporations that manipulate lives like playing cards, and then Erin walked in with a beautiful smile and we immediately lept into food talk and then Richard showed up and more hugs ensued and finally Tim arrived after finishing a work out (the rat bastard) which meant he could eat guilt-free.

Oh, and that food was good. I've been in touristy FL where the key ingredient is "FRIED...whatever" and these dishes were wonderful. My tastebuds were very, very happy.

Thank you MoNJ, Erin, Richard and Tim for meeting up with me. Barb, I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet you and George. Maybe next year???

PS: I finally got to see HAMILTON and it was worth the trip! I've linked a 10 minute compilation video and it was just as good.
