Reservations for tomorrow's Manhattan lunch: details

Barb, I came down with it this morning. Raw sore throat and fever???

Feeling like crap and have been sitting in hotel room all day sleeping and being a slug since I have the Bavarian Radio Symphony at Carnegie Hall tonight, which was the original reason for the trip.

Marilyn thank you again for the wonderful treats! Those cake pops are so

rich I have to have a glass of milk to wash one down. Cannot wait to try the sauces on some nice vanilla ice cream when we return home. Our local Graeter's Ice Cream does a turtle sunday with hot fudge, caramel, pecans, whipped cream and cherry. I plan to create on of those with your sauces!

Hi Anna, left to right, that's me, then Richard, MoNJ is

bent down behind Richard and Erin (in blue) is seated next to him.

Tim hadn't arrived yet.

A kind waiter took the photo.

I'm feeling off as well, but feel sure it's just tiredness for me. I'm using that as an excuse

to hang out on the couch and binge-watch "Dickensian."

I started feeling the same way on Friday...

and I wasn't in NYC with you all. It must be a "spring thing".
Rich came down with it Tuesday night but all he has left is a bit of tickly cough.
I hope we all feel better soon.

It was a fun time for sure. It was so nice to meet everyone. Time went too quickly.

Richard--so sorry to hear you’re not feeling well! I hope you were well enough to go to the symphony. It was great to meet you and Tim.

I should have planned my day better to spend more time with the gang after lunch at the NY library. (My "ride" (DH) had a lunch meeting in NYC, then had to get back for a meeting)

How was Arthur Avenue? With Erin as guide and "wheel woman," I'm sure she was superb. Great to meet you Erin!

Marilyn–you’re incredibly kind and generous, thank you so much for bringing us your fabulous treats. I’m planning to make some homemade ice cream soon to do it justice. I hope your trip home was uneventful.

Barb–I have the jars that Marilyn made for you and George–we’ll have to figure out how to get them to you. Hope you’re feeling better.

Thanks Mo...

We had fun! After lunch we went to Lord and Taylor then to the library where we saw the recently acquired stuffed animals of Christopher Robin: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Kanga, Eeyore, and Piglet that his father wrote the stories about.

The concert Saturday was beyond belief. A perfect flawless performance of Mahler 7 by the Bavarian Radio Symphony. The applause, bravos, whistles, screams, and curtain calls went on for 15 minutes!

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to Arthur Ave. I stayed in bed all day saving my energy for the concert. And with the exception of meeting friends for brunch and dinner, that was the plan yesterday as well. And today. Ugh. London Symphony tonight and then we're off to visit my dear Fairy Godmother on Long Island for a couple days to be tucked in and spoiled with afternoon cream teas and hot toddies.

Finally made it home!

What an amazing trip. I'm exhuasted. It was so great seeing everyone in Manhattan last week! Let's do it again soon!
