There are a few brands available here now Shaun. Almost everywhere. The one that

was out first is, I think the best. Bruno's sold it and still does.

I also like the salmon-stuffed ones.

 
REC: Steamed Spinach and Ginger Dumplings - T&T

Steamed Spinach and Ginger Dumplings

1 TBL vegetabel ail
1 TBLS peeled and grated fresh ginger
3 garlice cloves, crushed
2 bunches of spinach, washed and finely chopped
1/2 tsp salt

15 wonton wrappers

Heat oil in a wok or fring pan over med heat. add ginger and garlic and stir-fry until aromatic, about 1 min. add spinach and stir-fry til soft, 2 -3 min. remove from heat and add salt. transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.

place wonton wrappers on work surface and cover with a damp kitchen towel. working with one wrapper at a time, place 2 tsp of filling in the center and brush edges of wrapper with water. gather edges together and twist to seal. cover with damp towel and finish the rest.

line a medium bamboo steamer with parchment paper. half fill a medium wok with water and bring to a boil. arrange dumplings in steamer, cover and place steamer over boiling water. steam for 10 minutes, adding more boiling water to wok when necessary. lift steamer of wok and carefully remove dumplings. serve warm with soy sauce.

 
Darn it Shaun. I can't find the name of the brand that I buy & don't have any in stock here. Oddly

enough, I did find that Unico cans them as well.

I've tried several brands over the past probably 15 years, and there is one that I think is the best.

I haven't seen Randi's brand here.

 
There's one I've bought here, with a pull-top lid, that wasn't that great. Now that better

weather is coming, it's a great excuse to get me out hunting.
