SallyBR - So sorry to hear of your sister-in-law's passing

thank you, dear....

I am sitting here waiting for the realtor to see my sister-in-law house

so much stuff to take care it's at least good to keep us busy

This sister was like a Mom to Phil, who lost his Mom when he was only 16 yo.

anyway, it's been tough. But we will take her dog with us back home and that is helping him deal with it.

My condolences Sally. I think I have seen pictures of her on your website?

Pretty lady and too young for this to happen to her?

That beautiful Dalmatian could not be going to a better home. You will all heal quicker having Bogey as your in house therapy dog. He will understand what you are doing for him.

Thank you so much....

we are now in Boise, Idaho, after 6 and half hours driving with Bogey in the back seat

it is exhausting to think what we still have to drive to get home, but we will go through Yellowstone and the Tetons, sites we've never seen

should be beautiful...

cannot wait to get home!

Wow, I wonder where that was? Sure not allowed where we live. Especially

in a food cart. Service dogs have to be on leash but not allowed in the food carts.

All of our pet supply stores welcome pets

on leash and in the carts! Petco, Pet Supply Plus, PetSmart, and even some of our local mom-and-pop stores. Colleen

LOL, I thought is was a supermarket too. Yes, our beloved fur kids are allowed

in all pet stores here too, and other stores which do not have food. Hardware stores, nurseries, lumber stores, even some clothing shops who have animal loving owners are allowed to sit quietly with mom while she tries on something.

Lovely picture! (more)

we made it to Cody, Wyoming today

so far we drove 15 hours, we have 14 more to go in the next couple of days

we cannot afford stopping much, as Monday morning Phil needs to teach a class, but we managed to see some nice spots at Yellowstone today. Tomorrow we want to go by Mount Rushmore - and maybe drive all the way to Nebraska, to have an easier driving day on Sunday

honestly, I feel like I ran a couple of marathons, but there's more ahead. Still, we are in this together, and Bogey is adjusting well to his new Mom and Dad. He is getting very attached to Phil, which is great. He is great in long trips, used to doing the trip between Portland and Sedona with Phil's sister.

Life can change so quickly. That's all I'm going to say.

two more words.. carpe diem!

Well, mind you, DS had his dog stand up with him and his bride and we took the dog

out of the church with us!! Colorado, yanno. LOL

And actually DD had their dog with them but it was a wedding in the yard.

We pretty much love our dogs too.
