Same old, same old. My dog Abby is doing the not eating thing again.

She isn't eating again.

Hub is going to have to take her into the vet. She is terrified of the vet since we have had to have her xrayed before for this same thing and for her broken foot. So it is a last resort to put her through that. I am afraid she has an infection of some kind. I will let you know how she is doing. Thanks.

 
Thanks Sandi, she is one of our shelter dogs. It is the

temperment of breed. She is half Great Pryrenees and half hound dog. I just wish she would get better.

Well, now she drank water and some chicken broth.

She seems better tonight, perkier. I am just going to let her eat and drink when she wants to and keep a close eye one her. We talked to the vet who treated her last time and all they prescribed for her was doggy tagamet, which didn't help. Then we had her xrayed with barium, and they found nothing. After about 10 days, the vet suggested we start force feeding her a high protein canned dog food, watered down, which we did, and within a few days she was starting to eat on her own. Thanks for all your good thoughts.

 
She is doing much better. She ate some canned puppy food

and some chicken breasts. She is definitely hungry so I think we are finally out of the woods. Thanks again for all of your support and advice! Hopefully we won't be going through this again.

 
I was making rice for Abby tonight, and got distracted, and made cilatnro rice for us.

I meant to make rice for her, and got distracted. She loved it, and ate a bunch of it. Hopefully, it will help settle her stomach.
