like I could make it. They are always begging me to make pies and to date I have not. I will give this one a try. Thanks!

 
Let me add for those who might be trying this kind of "pie" that

before I bake I dab heavy cream on the crust edge and sprinkle with Sugar in the Raw that I use for my coffee in the morning. It adds a nice crunchy something to it.

I must say I agree with everything you said, and I am willing to pay more for the benefit of having this type of produce in my kitchen

Now, another side of me, would like to know WITHOUT ANY BIAS, what is the answer for feeding a completely overpopulated planet. LIke it or not, we are way too many. Farmers market and eating locally works on certain environments, but I wonder to which extent it can address the serious problem of having to sustain a species that clearly went beyond manageable numbers, nutritionally speaking.. smileys/wink.gif

I should probably try to read more and learn more. My main problem is that there's only 24 hours in the day and I don't seem to be able to do 1/3 of what I'd like to :-0))))
