The holiday season is here at last
With traditions of giving and joy.
A time of reflection, deep thought and of thanks
And X good – Y bad = Z toy.
In keeping tradition I sit and I write
This my holiday greeting to you
While remembering each one of the wonderful things
Of this year and our friendship so true.
Every snowflake is precious, unique & sublime
Natures marvel of artistry & beauty
Each wondrous singular masterpieces in time
Once gone never a duplicate or copy.
So in this holiday season whilst I muse and reflect
Recalling my snowflakes, my friends,
I remember their beauty: each quirk & facet
And my appreciation of them never ends.
The length of a kinship can never convey
All the things most important in life.
Like humor, good intentions, love and honor among those
Who support you in fair weather & strife.
So my wish for New Year’s is quite simple indeed
Health, Happiness, and Wealth without sorrow
To you my good friend, may these blessings extend
For today and all your tomorrows.
So be you friend, new or old, speak we often or not
Know this much I do honestly say:
I thank my good fortune, my karma, my lot
To know you through the years & today!
