Shameless self-promotion....

I understand completely, SallyBR--no problem!

BTW, I forgot to tell you that the photo of your cake is outstanding! The cake looks gorgeous, and the lighting is absolutely beautiful. You have many talents!

Thx 4 posting! WOW, is this lengthy. My favorite line frm the REC is the 1st half of the following

sentence==>
And it (i.e., the cake) can be served on its own, as a study in chocolate intensity, or served with this opposite: something white and creamy.

Yes, "a study in chocolate intensity" is putting it mildly. lol.

I can't seem to comment, something about a password, but I wanted to give congrats to you

love your blog and I hope you have many more years of good blogging---that makes you feel good and not stressed!

Come to think of it, my mom used raw onions and so did I when first married. Older recipes usually

call for raw. I've noticed that many recipes such as meatloaf used to call for raw and now for sautéed. Interesting how things change. My mother was way to busy and time pressed for extra steps.

isn't it interesting that the chili recipe calls for cutting one onion in half, saut

and add the other half raw. Why?

Beats me Karen. I always thought that was strange and I imagine

when I made it the first time cooking at Apron's for Publix I did that because it was important I made it as written. I needed to be able to tell people that were tasting it that it was made as the recipe said. But I don't do that now. I sauté them all.

I read this earlier but

I'm not a morning girl and I don't like to talk in the morning...;0). Girl, you are as entertaining a read as Marilyn would be if she would do a blog! Thanks for such a fun read but I'll skip making this cake. Good job! All that matters is you got 'er done.

Oh, my.... I am her number one fan...

...ok, maybe number 2?

so your compliment made my day!

although, trust me every single word in that post is 100% true. Phil did not know about the missing chocolate under the stove until I published the post, he only knew there was one additional disaster I never told him about smileys/wink.gif

I was advised by a friend on FB to do it right away because....

.... with the boo-boos all fresh in my ind it would be a perfect cake the second time around

but I don't see myself making the same recipe again so soon. Let's say I am under a chocolate overload at the moment, need a break!

Great read! One of my pet peeves is a recipe that doesn't use the ingredient list to specify divided

use. The 3 tablespoons of sugar being an example. I've screwed that detail up so many times my husband always lists it as divided use when he enters a recipe with an ingredient that is divided into Living Cookbook.
