Sharing. We spent the last several months clearing out the backyard and building an earth oven

WOW!! Fantastic. It must have been a big job emptying all of those wine

bottles to use in the lining, but somebody had to do it.

Higher might be nicer for working, but since it's sort of in the middle of the yard I didn't want

it too high to see over. We're going to build one in the community garden next, and since it will be in a corner it will probably be higher.

I'm scrounging wood everywhere--the gardens produce a lot and I know a lot of tree trimmers. The book says to use smaller sticks rather than logs for a hot, bright burn. I found that out the hard way with my pale loaves.

I would need to bring my chiropractor with me and you would have to pay him a lot!

He got rich off this project, lol!

I'm not sure if I hate Facebook MORE or LESS than it hates me.

I am locked out AGAIN because I don't remember my password.

Very cool, Joe! My Sunset Italian cookbook from 1977 has a DIY adobe oven. I was always...

...fascinated by the prospect of building one.

Thanks for sharing!

Michael
