Ottawa has been hit by its first s%#@st#*^ of the season. Fortunately the weather people promise a warmish day on Halloween (12 C or 53.6 F). Can't face another winter like the last one.............

You'll find me searching for holidays south............................

 
And we had temps in the high 60s yesterday. It's such a disappointment every

year when one tiny frost arrives and many items in the garden suffer a bit of frost bite, only to be followed by weeks of balmy weather (Like next week).

I now have 3 plastic greenhouses in my veg garden and am considering just covering the entire yard next year.
