So cookies aside, what does everyone make for their holiday meal dessert?

Cookies get all the glory at this time of year. I was just wondering what makes the list for an actual dessert for everyone?

Ian has requested A Buche du Noel (Christmas Log) for dessert. For someone who can't have chocolate

I'm prepared Brown Sugar Shortbread with Blueberry Creme. Of course, there will be a cookie platter as well.

Triple chocoalte Mousse, Gingerbread Tart with Cranberry Curd Filling & Meringue & Pumpkin Pie

with Amarula whipped Cream

English Trifle with raspberries and bananas.

I do a beef tenderloin and we need something light and fruity afterward. Plus cookies and my MIL's fudge. I've always wanted to do a Buche de Noel--sounds like fun.

that whipped cream icebox cake made with Famous Chocolate Wafers. kind of a light offering

after a big meal. I have made this into a Buche de Noel shape and decorated it. very fun and easy.

Also I chickened out on the black pepper and used cloves instead.

and half the cinnamon since I was using Vietnamese and it's strong.

yes. made it and had it in the frig asked hubby if it looked

like a stump and he said "no, where are the roots" Did I mention that he is an engineer?? Oh well.
