I just pulled out this very old recipe to make some for a friend, then realized that he could have made them himself. So just in case there is someone who does not have this....................
Melt on very low heat in medium saucepan:
2 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate (the new recipe would read 2 oz. since Baker's has transformed)
1/4 lb. butter
Remove from heat and throw in and stir:
1 c. sugar
1.2 t. (+) vanilla
pinch salt
Stir in:
1/2 c. flour
Stir in:
2 lightly beaten eggs.
Add:
1/4 c. chopped pecans toasted
Bake at 350 in 8x8 pan 30 minutes.
This last time, I used semi-sweet and although it is just fine, I do think I prefer the unsweetened.
