Survey: What is the one thing you are really craving to eat right now? I mean REALLY craving. . .

I can easily answer that. REALLY GOOD CHINESE FOOD!!!

First I want great hot and sour soup with the little crunchy wontons and lots of white pepper.
Then some nice cold ice tea with one sweet and low.
Then I want the plate with a piping hot egg roll with lots of hot mustard and a little sweet and sour sauce. And finally really hot (both temp and spiciness) Kung Pau Chicken with steamed rice on the side. Forget dessert.

I wuz thinking about a really good Thai Restaurant that met its demise several years ago. . .

It was called Ruen Pair and was in Pomona CA, and not in the best part of town.

I loved it, it was so excellently done; every dish I had tried there was excellent, the best.

It was good enough for me to be able to con my husband into going there several times. He will go back to a restaurant more than once if he likes it if it is close to home. If it is a ways away, like in the town above, he will whine and moan that it is too far. So the fact is signifigant that he was willing to go CLEAR to the restaurant (which, by car really isn't all THAT far away) more than once.

I swear to g** that he is a super-taster and to find food that he likes at a restaurant. . . And then the restaurant closes! I wanted to cry. . . smileys/wink.gif

I have not had lobster since my whole family got together and bough fresh native lobster. . .

during our Thanksgiving camping trip a couple of years back.

D*** that was good. Brother had the lobsters split lengthwise and then he grilled them over charcoal. Fresh caught that day, grilled at the campground by the beach. It doesn't get any better.

yeah. just like that with LOTsa butter! now i gotta...

run and get a paper bag to breathe into.

Lobser bisque, Lobster Newberg, boiled spicy lobster, lobster rollllllllll. . . smileys/smile.gif

These are favorites, but I have been craving an old shrimp cocktail.served to me,not making it!

The Cold Sesame Noodles from Szechwan West at 110th and Broadway!!!!

(Manhattan, of course).

They are the original, the model, and the fantasy. Noodles have never been as good as that.

Wait, I thought El Tepayac was my own little secret. Now I see it's famous in Holland!

I love those burrito-sized taquitos. Haven't been there in years though.
