Survey: What is the one thing you are really craving to eat right now? I mean REALLY craving. . .

I love Pad Kee Mao. . .

There is a local place that makes it with ground meat instead of sliced, so you get a little meat with every bite of noodles. Plus it is hot and minty and basil-y too! Delish!

Tepeyac

Joe, I first went to Tepeyac in 1972...that was before the parking lot and armed guards..heehee. No, it's not famous in Holland, except with me (which is probably a good thing) -I grew up in Southern California.
cheers, Bonnie

Probably 1973 for me...my high school Spanish teacher took a bunch of us there. For years afterward

my friends and I would make the occasional pilgrimage to East L.A. Years later, when my nephew was attending USC I took him there, and it hadn't changed one bit. It then became a hangout for him and his friends.

Thanks for the memory.

Any food from home: New Jersey the Italian Food alone can keep me up at night

I crave Nathan Hotdogs with a potato knish, white castle hamburgers (not frozen) Wize potato chips, Real Jewish Deli ruben sandwich, Napolitano's pizza & calzone, Colonia Sub shop Italian Hero, Stuffed Shells from Napolitano's, Drake's Devil Dogs, Chinese Food- Mings in Iselin NJ, The cheese shop in Woodbridge Center NJ especially the appetizer's, Chicken Delight. I really just crave the pizza & nathan hotdogs but the others keep me craving from time to time. I sure do miss the food from New Jersey!!!!

You'll be in Seattle soon. Shrimp cocktail served to you with a Pom martini.

Can't get much better than that!! But don't let them make it with "old" shrimp.

Amen. Genoe's East. My Sis won a trip to NYC to tape the Rachael Ray talk show

by voting for her favorite Pizza. The show is Chicago vs NY Pizza. She voted, and didn't know it was an entry for a trip. She is on a plane right now with my nephew on her way. Too funny.

A malasada on the beach in Hawaii. Or maybe an old fashioned midwest friday nite fish fry

I never deep fry anything---must be why I'm craving it.

How neat! Would love to hear about her experience, will you share? Btw, have you seen

any of the Chefography shows on Food Network? I watched the one on Rachael Ray and have a new respect for her. She's really worked hard to get to where she is. I believe they've done shows on several of their chefs.

I watched several this weekend. Nigella Lawson's blew me away.

Her husband had the same cancer as my husband. It was like looking through a mirror. I had no idea she had so much tragedy in her life. She was so very upbeat though. Truly amazing.

I watched a few of them and agree,

I have a new respect for all of the FoodTV personalities.

When I first watched Nigella's show, I wasn't sure what to make of her. After seeing her bio, it all makes a whole lot more sense to me.

I didn't care much for Nigella's show--- camera work makes me dizzy. Must be a British style

of cinematography. Jamie Oliver's first show made me feel the same way. But I surely do respect her hard work and incredible resolve. I am not that tough. But I do cook like she does---not too fussy and I love the midnight eating at the fridge!

Yes, Ang, I agree. I had no idea of her background, and her outlook on

food now makes more sense to me, as well.
