I have that cannister and it's clean as a whistle....so that...

whenever I need to collect rendered fat I can! I have a canning jar of bacon drippings and another lovely container of rendered duck fat. I keep the sucker clean because sometimes you just want to save that special fat a little bit through your cooking process!
